I was approached to create a logo and opening animation along with music for a Chinese Film company.
Brief:
Detailed yet simple in design
To combine elements of a compass with videography
Logomark has to be animated
The wordmark is secondary, as there would be many different forms
The main problem I faced in this freelance project was that the client didn't have a clear vision of the visual identity of their company. After having a couple of sessions setting the art direction of the design, the client was happy with a more serious take on the logo. With the music direction, the client requested for the focus to be on horns, and I produced the track along with the animation for the logomark.
